This week has been actual chaos. From bs at work to unexpected running around (and having fun lol), i'm just looking more and more forward to the weekend.
On Monday, after putting out fires at work all day, I finished my book I was reading: Brother by Ania Ahlborn. I was just over half way done but for some reason I couldn't focus on anything else and just had to finish it. Very twisted.. and left me feeling bleak as fuck. I think it's good i've finished it though, reading back to back horror books had my mental space all warped and I think it's time to just relax with some easier reading. (Before this I read The Lamb by Lucy Rose) I was just in a cannibalistic family in the backwoods kind of mood, most likely from watching House of 1000 Corpses again.
On Tuesday I went to a concert that was kind of last minute. My friend and coworker invited me to go see Angine de Poitrine which turned out to be a fantastic show! Genuinely did not expect it to be so... lively. I have never experienced the whole crowd being so responsive and just having a good time. It was like watching two different life forms on stage too. I loved it. Their opener was Jade Elephant and they were also great. Super grateful to have the experience. I also got some footage on my camcorder. p:
Yesterday I helped my partner retrieve his vehicle from the shop so he could ride his motorcycle home and not be stranded. We ended up getting some curry after and finally buying our plane tickets to California for a family trip in August. Buying tickets for flights suck and are extremely overwhelming for someone who has never had to look at something like that before lmao.
And that brings us to today, which was finally 'quiet' enough. After work I got some reading done and made some foccacia to cold proof overnight so I can bake it tomorrow after work for the weekend. I'm using this recipe here.
I added some of my own rosemary and thyme that I've grown and now my hands faintly smell like herbs heh.

I'm equally excited and frustrated with building a website and learning code. I'm still struggling with how things go and the true nature of how this language works but at the same time I know that the best way to learn is to just do. Easier said than done haha...
Anyway, it has finally stopped raining here (it has been absolutely pissing non-stop) and it's really nice to feel the warmth of the sun. I'm sure my plants don't mind it either.
Oh I also received my Boo Buckets in the mail! They are the originals from 1986 and i'm so stoked to have them in my collection. Perfect for Summerween and Halloween.
Now just waiting for some Vegan Kung Pao Tofu.
